Rob Fitl

Writer/Director Rob Fitl hails from Bracebridge Ontario, in the heart of Muskoka. He recently completed his BA.H. from Queen's University in Film Studies. While in school he made two 16mm shorts The Door (2006 - 1 Minute) and How Do You Live With Yourself (2007 - 1 Minute), which were official selections of the Kingston Canadian Film Festival.

The Death of Indie Rock is Rob's first feature and was shot on a shoestring budget over three years while studying at Queen's University. The film is the first feature produced in Kingston Ontario in over a decade, and reflects Rob's passion for Canada's Indie music scene and 1970's American Cinema.



Marc Griffin

Marc Griffin is a true americanadian: hailing from the mean streets of Massena, NY and residing in the relative tranquility of Kingston, ON.

Marc is a winner of the prestigious National Apprenticeship Training Program Award from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and has worked in the film industries of Toronto, Montreal, and Los Angeles. Marc's film credits include such Hollywood hits as The Score and Don't Say A Word. North of the border, Marc has worked with Oscar nominated director, Atom Egoyan, on his controversial award winning film Ararat.

The Death Of Indie Rock is Marc's first feature film as Picture Editor, and his debut as a Producer.

Damian Bradley

Born in 1982, Damian Bradley completed his undergraduate degree in Film Studies and Geographic Information Management Studies (GIS) at Queen's University in Kingston Ontario, Canada in 2006. He grew up in Newfoundland which fostered his love of the outdoors, and the aesthetics of nature. He has worked as a sports cinematographer, has shot award wining shorts on video and 16mm film, and even completed shooting his first feature at the age of 18.

Currently, Damian works as a Geographic Information Specialist mapping and building recreational trails, and exploring how video and photography can be fused with the latest in digital mapping technology.



Doug Brown

This is Doug Brown's first feature, but he has assisted numerous shorts, both as an actor and a sound editor. His interest in composition came from his immense background designing sound for theatre.

Originally a drummer in several Jazz and Rock groups, he felt The Death of Indie Rock would be a great project to showcase all of his talents. On his spare time he enjoys collecting Vinyl Records, studying Religious History, and collecting Metallica Memorabilia.





Joe Salvoni

Joe Salvoni graduated from Queen's University in 2006 with a BA.H in History and Drama and has a consuming passion for cinema, literature and photography. A recipient of the J.C.W Saxton prize in playwriting, this is Joe's first foray into screenwriting and also his first appearance in front of the camera. He plans to pursue a career in teaching while continuing to develop his own creative projects.






Matt Taylor

Hailing from Toronto, Executive Producer Matthew Taylor received his BAH in Film Studies from Queen's University. Currently he spends his days in the Sales department at one of Canada's largest broadcasting companies.

After making numerous short films including Solitaire, The Door, and Blue Harvest, Matt discovered his true interest was behind the scenes managing the business side of various productions. While at Queen's University he was an active volunteer in the Kingston film community and moved on to work at ThinkFilm and Alliance Atlantis.
